The Birstall Woodturning Club
WELCOME
The Birstall Woodturning Club has been established over 13 years.
It is a very active hands on club with friendly members and it is
affiliated to the Northern Federation of Woodturning Groups.
Meetings are held every Wednesday evening from 7pm onwards.
On the first Wednesday of each month a professional demonstrator
or a very experienced amateur is engaged to demonstrate their skills
to members. At other meetings which are known as members
evenings, members make full use of all the clubs facilities which
include 6 lathes and the necessary tools to operate them. It is on
these evenings that novices are given tuition if they wish, by the
more experienced members.
Help and advice is always freely available, as is tea and coffee.
You are invited to come along to the club and meet our friendly
members, there will be no charge for your first visit providing this is a
members evening. If your first visit is on an evening when a
demonstrator has been engaged then there will be a charge of £3.
For further information contact the Secretary on 01484 512114.
