Try Robert Sorby, Ashley Isles, Crown and Hamlet, gouges and tools before you buy.

Enjoy a friendly atmosphere and freely available advice. An ideal environment to learn from experienced wood turners. Beginners will be made most welcome and helped to progress safely.

Professional demonstrations by top turners once a month.

An equal opertunities policy operates at the club and everybody is welcome.

Opening daytime on Wednesdays is currently under assessment. Should you wish to attend on that day check first with the leaders because numbers double up due to Bank Holidays .

We have been asked to promote The 2012 European Woodworking Show which takes place in September. In return we are able to take advantage of a big reduction in the price for admission, providing that it is for a group of 10 or more. O.K. its a long way to travel but it looks to be a totally different proposition to The Northern Woodworking Show. If you are interested check out the link to their site on our events page.

Good fortune is shinning on the club in 2012
We have a benefactor in the form of "Sita Community Trust", who have agreed to finance the provision of some new and more efficient machinery. Thanks are in order firstly to Sita and also to our Chairman Kaspar and Secretary Liz who have put in some hard work with the application.
We must not overlook that it as a result of our strong community involvement and all the hours put in by members at Duke of Edinburgh training, fetes, shows and demonstrations, that Sita have thought fit to award the grant in our favour.
